Readers Pick Deer Path Inn As Best Patio In Lake Forest Area

LAKE FOREST, IL — Last week we asked Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Patch readers to share their favorite patios and beer gardens in the area. The results are in, with a majority of the dozens of respondents recommending two local spots.
The top vote-getter was Deer Path Inn, which narrowly edged out Everett Farms in our unscientific survey.
The patio at Deer Path Inn, 255 E. Illinois Road in Lake Forest, was praised for its privacy and elegance.

"The seclusion and landscaping are perfect along with excellent cuisine," one reader said.
"They have the most beautiful patio with lots of greenery," said another. "It feels as if you are in a private garden."

Go-to orders at from the inn's kitchen and bar included fish and chips, steak frites and grilled chicken Caeser salad, along with margaritas and palomas.

Everett Farms, the runner-up in our survey, won accolades from readers for its outstanding food and service. Top orders at 840 S. Waukegan Road, Lake Forest, location included the Niçoise salad, the BLT sandwich and mahi-mahi.
