Severe Weather Cancels Events In Lake Forest, Lake Bluff

After-school activities are cancelled and recreation facilities closed early Tuesday in Lake Forest and Lake Bluff.

LAKE FOREST-LAKE BLUFF, IL — Severe weather has led to cancellations and early closures in Lake Forest and Lake Bluff Tuesday evening. Snow and freezing rain are expected to bring an additional 2 to 4 inches of snow accumulation overnight as a hazardous weather outlook has been issued by the National Weather Service.

The city of Lake Forest announced all classes at Lake Forest Dance Academy and Stirling Hall have been cancelled, as well as scheduled basketball and squash. The Lake Forest Recreation Center and Fitness Center will remain open regular hours.

The Lake Bluff Park District announced all facilities are closed at 6 p.m., and all classes are cancelled at the Lake Bluff Fitness Center and Recreation Center. All paddle programs at the Lake Bluff Paddle Club are also cancelled.

Lake Forest High School and Lake Bluff School District 65 said all after-school activities have been canceled, including sports, clubs and meetings. The Lake Bluff Graduate School of Management closed early at 5 p.m.
