Smattering Of Anti-Mask, Anti-Vax Protestors Gather At LFHS
Demonstrators opposed to masks and vaccinations gathered at Lake Forest High School for more than an hour Friday, according to a report.
LAKE FOREST, IL — A group of demonstrators gathered outside Lake Forest High School Friday afternoon to show their opposition to mandatory masks and vaccinations for children, the Lake Forester reported.
Photos from the scene showed about a dozen attendees, who reportedly chanted, "Stop the child abuse, stop the child abuse, no masks, no shots, take it off, take it off.”
Protestors told the newspaper they opposed joint initiatives by district administrators and city and public health officials to hold vaccination events for students and the community at public schools.

Officials on Sunday held a first-dose Pfizer vaccination event at Deer Path Middle School. Vaccination appointments for children aged 12 to 15 through the Lake County Health Department's AllVax portal opened last week.

On Monday, Gov. J.B. Pritzker issued an amended executive order rescinding his mask mandate in most circumstances for vaccinated people.
The rule had been binding only on businesses — described in public health rules as "enforcing entities."
Masks are still required on public transport, in hospitals, shelters, prisons and schools.
