Make a Masterpiece Monday

Drop in to make 3D yarn art inspired by Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson.

Lunch Bunch
Tuesday, March 26, and Wednesday, March 27, Noon–1:00 pm

Spring Break Toy Swap

It's a great time to spring clean and swap toys with your friends and neighbors! Leftover toys will be donated to charity.

  • Bring no more than 3 toys to swap.
  • The toys may be new or used, but make sure they are working and clean.
  • Swaps are "a toy for a toy" regardless of the original cost of the toys.
  • No violent toys, video games, DVDs, or toys with missing pieces.
  • No clothes, bikes, or baby equipment.
  • No stuffed animals or cloth items.

Go on a virtual field trip with us behind the scenes of the penguin habitat at Shedd Aquarium! Talk to the scientists in charge as we shadow them through their morning routine. Discover all the surprising ways they care for our penguin friends. Snacks provided!

Spring Break Micro Coding Camp
Monday, March 25, Tuesday, March 26, and Wednesday, March 27, 9:30–11:30 am
Attend our 3-day coding camp and learn the building blocks of coding! Design and program your own stories while making new friends and having fun over Spring Break! Please plan to attend all three sessions.

Name Your Game Night

Bring your squad and your ideas for a Game Night name and show off your PS4 and Xbox One skills at the Library! Play on the big screen or with our PS4 VR headset. We’ll bring our favorite games; you bring yours. Handheld consoles and tabletop games are also welcome!
