StoryWalks® coming to Lake Forest Library and area parks
Slow down and enjoy time together, fresh air, and a story at Lake Forest Library, Deerpath Community Park, Northcroft Park, and more!

Lake Forest Library, with various partners including the Friends of Lake Forest Library, Lake Forest Parks and Recreation, and Sheridan Elementary School, is pleased to present StoryWalks® throughout the community.
StoryWalks® are outdoor signs placed along trails and pathways with each sign displaying one page or spread from a picture book. By presenting a story in bite-sized pieces with space and time for young readers to move and process what they see, StoryWalks® encourage and support early literacy and shared reading experiences. Children—and people of all ages!— can enjoy reading a story together in our beautiful outdoor parks and on the Library lawn. Be sure to join us at 11:00 am on the first day of each StoryWalk® on the Library lawn for a special librarian-led storytime. For locations and dates of all StoryWalks®, visit lakeforestlibrary.org/storywalk.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
