Tom Waddle Buys Home in Lake Forest

Transaction comes less than a month after the former Chicago Bear sold larger home in city.

It turns out retired Chicago Bears wide receiver and current sportscaster Tom Waddle would not be going far when he sold his Lake Forest home last month.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Waddle recently paid $2.15 million for a five-bedroom, 8,000-square-foot house farther south in the city. The home he sold was an 8,161-square-foot mansion on Onwentsia Road that went for $3.275 million.

The new home has six baths, five fireplaces, 10-foot ceilings and a grand foyer - among other indoor amenities. The outdoor area includes a pool, two patios and an outdoor fireplace.
