Trubisky 'Feeling Good' For Start Against Rams Sunday: Report
Despite a shoulder injury in November, the Bears quarterback says he feels ready to play against Jared Goff and the Rams.

LAKE FOREST, IL — Mitch Trubisky said he expects to play against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night, according to reports, as he works through a shoulder injury. The QB was injured late in the Sunday, Nov. 18 Bears victory against Minnesota.
"I just have to show Coach that I can play. I'm feeling good about where I'm at," he said, according to ESPN. "I feel really close, feel really close. Feel good. Hopefully, they will let me go because I feel I can."
Coach Matt Nagy sided with caution after Trubisky's injury, having him sit out for two weeks. The QB agrees. His shoulder is "something that I'm going to need for the rest of my career, obviously. Anytime there's any pain, I'm just communicating that and being smart about it," ESPN reported him saying.

Backup Chase Daniel led the Bears to victory over the Lions in week 12, but succumbed to the Giants in week 13.
"I feel strongly that [Trubisky] will play, but I got to see more," Nagy said on Wednesday, according to the ESPN report. Trubisky's performance at practice will determine whether he's selected to start on Sunday against the Rams, who lead the NFL at 11-1.

If he does return to play, Trubisky's presence on the field means the Rams' defense has a bit more on their plate than if Daniel were to start. Trubisky's arm is backed up by a strong running game—he's scored five rushing touchdowns in the past two years with a total of 611 rushing yards, according to Pro Football Reference.
