WAUKEGAN, IL — Lake County public health officials are set to discuss efforts to distribute coronavirus vaccines at a remote town hall event Wednesday.

The online event will feature Lake County Health Department Executive Director Mark Pfister and Medical Epidemiologist Dr. Sana Ahmed, who will be available to take questions about the county's vaccination plan.

According to Illinois Department of Health vaccine data, there have been more than 15,000 vaccine doses administered in Lake County since the first jabs on Dec. 16. Nearly 4,000 people have been fully vaccinated in the county — meaning they have received both doses of the vaccine.
