Volunteers Design New Lake Forest Sticker
The story of the vehicle sticker reflects the story of Gorton –people pitching in for a bigger cause.

When a Gorton board member received his Lake Forest vehiclesticker last April, he thought, “We should look into Gortongetting on there.”
Fast forward a year. When Lake Forest residents receive theirrenewal notices for their 2013-2014 vehicle stickers, they’ll discover that Gorton Community Center will be front andcenter on their stickers.

How did it happen? The board member conveyed his idea tothe Gorton staff, and off to work they went. Camila Quinteros,a Lake Forest College student who interned at Gorton, wascalled into action. Quinteros is a Grace Groner Foundation recipient at the college. Jumping right in for her was fittingsince the Groner Foundation’s mission is to assist students ingaining internship experience in the spirit of service to others.
John Reilly of John Reilly Photography, a local resident, donatedthe beautiful photograp used on the sticker. Then CamilaQuinteros went to work designing the final sticker. Thankfully,the City of Lake Forest embraced the idea of highlighting itsbeloved community center.
