This 2,100-square-foot East Lake View home at 3400 N. Lake Shore Dr. is selling for $1.3 million, more than double what it was purchased for in 2010, according to Zillow.com.

Built in 1922, this historic penthouse with a more than 1,000-square-foot private rooftop terrace was bought in May 2010 for $510,000. However, since then, designer Kara Mann gave the two bedroom, two bathroom penthouse a complete style overhaul.
