Another 21 tickets were written at the end of the night, police say. In Lincoln Park, windows were smashed in on multiple storefronts.
Clark Street was flooded in Wrigleyville after the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup, but some fans apparently took their excitement to the next level.
Police say they made 23 arrests and handed out 21 additional tickets during the rowdy celebration following the game, according to NBC Chicago. Arrests were mostly made for disorderly and reckless conduct, and the tickets were issued for nonviolent crimes.
Officers with the Chicago's 19th Police District said they worked around the clock to contain the party that overflowed out onto Clark Street, shutting down traffic between Addison and Roscoe.

Car horns sounded, beers were shaken and sprayed like champagne and people danced in the street and the mob broke through police barricades. That’s combined with fireworks going off, and later into the night, bottles were being thrown at police and their horses.
Later that evening, fans also stormed down Clark Street in Lincoln Park, bashing in multiple storefront windows like Starbucks and the Verizon Mobile store. Many of them were boarded up Tuesday morning and still open for business.

And that wasn’t even the official party. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced Tuesday afternoon via Twitter that the city will host a victory party for the Hawks. Specifics regarding the start time and route of the parade are still being worked out, but it will reportedly end in Grant Park.
