CTA Bus Strikes Mom, 3 Kids in Lake View

CHICAGO, IL — A mother and her three children were struck Monday morning by a Chicago Transit Authority bus in the city's Lake View neighborhood.

A bus headed north in the 3600 block of North Halsted struck the woman and her 6-year-old child, a 2-year-old child, an 8-week old baby, NBC reports.

All four were taken to Lurie's Children Hospital. The mother refused treatment, but accompanied her children to the hospital. The bus driver was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in stable condition.

The victims' identities are not known at this time. It's unclear what caused the accident.
