Apple-Flavored Fun Taking Over Giddings Plaza Saturday

Apple Fest is once again here to bring autumn to Lincoln Square - check out the day's activities this year.

It's time for the 26th Annual Apple Fest, the official welcome wagon for fall.

Along with apple-themed treats like apple cider and apple pizza, fun family-friendly activities are scheduled throughout the day.

The festival runs from 9 to 5 p.m. Saturday in Giddings Plaza.

A kids zone will run on the north end near Lawrence from 9 to 2 p.m.

Early festivalgoers can get a jump on Halloween with the third annual dog costume contest.

Dressed to their best, pooches will strut their stuff down Lincoln Avenue in front of local celebrity judges.
