Fast & Fresh Sold, Rebranding as Mediterranean Restaurant

Lovers of the East Lake View restaurant Fast and Fresh better hustle over for a burger soon because the owners say it could soon take a Mediterranean twist.

Sinan Beskarves says his restaurant at 3500 N. Broadway St. was just sold to a new owner, and he’s in the process of giving Fast and Fresh a makeover.

“We’ll run it the same until the winter. That’s what the new owner wants to do,” Beskarves said. “Then he’ll clean and remodel it and focus on things like Mediterranean kabobs, gyros and hummus. He also wants to make Turkish pitas.”

Beskarves added he thinks it a good move, saying the trend in Lake View is toward more exotic flavors. Fast and Fresh currently serves up traditional American food.

It’s unclear if the new owner plans to change the restaurant’s name.
