What sort of dogs do you see out in the neighborhood the most?
According to a cool interactive map put together by DNAinfo and based off of city dog licenses, labrador retriever is the the most popular dog breed in the 60657 zip code. Beagle is the second most popular, and Golden Retriever is the third most popular.
That jibes with overall city preferences, which ranks labs as the most popular breed. (Although "pit bull types" are the second most popular for the city as a whole). Most of the dog licenses are for "mixed," "other," or "unknown," however. The DNAinfo analysis shows that north siders prefer labrador retrievers while pit bulls are more popular on the west side.
