Chicago Cubs' Javier Baez Expecting First Child
The infielder made the announcement Wednesday on Instagram.
CHICAGO, IL — Cubs' player Javier Baez announced Wednesday that he and his girlfriend Irmarie Marquez are expecting their first baby. Baez made the announcement early in the morning via Instagram. He didn't mention when the baby is due, but made it clear he was a proud dad-to-be.
"Baby Baez Is Coming!!!" he posted, asking his fans whether they think the baby will be a boy or girl.
The post gained more than 100,000 likes less than five hours after it was posted, with hundreds of enthusiastic comments congratulating the couple and guessing the gender of the baby.
