Chicago Police 19th District To Hold CAPS Meeting
The meeting will discuss policing issues in the 19th District's Beat 1922, which includes North Center, Roscoe Village and Lake View.
CHICAGO, IL — The 19th District will be holding a Community Alternative Policing Strategy meeting on Wednesday, July 18 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Lake View. The meeting will discuss crime, community concerns and other policing issues in the 19th District's Beat 1922, which includes parts of Lake View, North Center and Roscoe Village (see map below). The CAPS meeting will be held at 2452 W Belmont Ave.
The main purpose for holding beat meetings is for local residents and police to work together to identify, address and solve chronic problems in the area.
The meetings are hosted by the Chicago Police Department, and will include an overview of progress made on problems addressed in the former beat meeting, as well as new problems, strategies and coordination of responsibilities.

Residents, business owners and representatives from local schools, churches and neighborhood organizations are encouraged to attend, the CPD said.
