Chicago Police CAPS Meeting To Be Held On North Side
The meeting will discuss policing issues in three 19th District beat 1932, which includes parts of Lake View and Lincoln Park.

CHICAGO, IL — The 19th District will be holding a Community Alternative Policing Strategy meeting on Monday, Jan. 14 at 6:30 p.m. in Lincoln Park. The meeting will discuss crime, community concerns and other policing issues in the 19th District's Beat 1932, which includes parts of the west Lake View, Wrightwood Neighbors and West DePaul neighborhoods (see map below). The CAPS meeting will be held at New Life Church, 1110 W. Lill Ave.
The main purpose for holding beat meetings is for local residents and police to work together to identify, address and solve chronic problems in the area.
The meetings are hosted by the Chicago Police Department, and will include an overview of progress made on problems addressed in the former beat meeting, as well as new problems, strategies and coordination of responsibilities.

Residents, business owners and representatives from local schools, churches and neighborhood organizations are encouraged to attend, the CPD said.
