Clark The Cub, Volunteers Paint Three Schools In Lake View

The beloved Cubs' mascot and more than 100 of his buddies gave back to the neighborhood on Monday.

CHICAGO — Clark the Cub was seen at several North Side elementary schools in Lake View on Monday, doing what he does best — making people smile and cheering on his team. This time his team wasn't playing ball, however — a group of more than 100 volunteers were helping to revamp the schools with a fresh coat of paint.

Clark the Cub, alongside Jewel-Osco's JoJo mascot, helped the volunteers paint hallways and rooms in Agassiz Elementary School, Blaine Elementary School and Hamilton Elementary School.

The painters were dedicated to making the schools "a more welcoming environment for students when they return back to school," the Cubs' public relations team said.
