CLMA To Give Away 600 Christmas Trees

The Central Lakeview Merchant's Association (CLMA) will give away over 600 free Christmas trees this holiday season. The trees are currently being used to deck out Lakeview streets until Dec. 21, when they'll be taken down and given away for free. 

"CLMA hopes to relieve the stress of holiday budgets and provide trees for families that may otherwise not be able to afford one," said Bruce Kennedy, a spokesperson for the organization. 

Anyone who would like a free tree can go to Houndstooth, 3396 N. Clark St., or Baker and Nosh at 1303 W. Wilson St. for a tree, beginning Dec. 21.
