Chicago police say they’ve arrested 11 suspects in Lake View robberies in the last two weeks, one of them potentially behind the armed robbery at the Oberweis Ice Cream and Dairy Store.
Ald. Tom Tunney (44th) issued a statement Tuesday saying officers in the 19th Police District have the 11 suspects in custody. They believe the individuals are behind multiple robberies including:
- 1020 W. School St.
- 1395 W. Roscoe St.
- 1140 W. School St.
- 1254 W. Roscoe St.
- 3248 N. Racine St.
That’s in addition to the Sept. 9 robbery at Oberweis, located at 3055 N. Sheffield Ave. Tunney says police report the suspect used to work at the store.
