Man In Custody After SWAT Called To North Side Building
Red Lines stopped between Wilson and Addison Wednesday after a man barricaded himself inside a building, police said.
CHICAGO, IL — A man is in custody after a barricade situation on Chicago's North Side Wednesday, police said. A SWAT team was called to the 4000 block of North Kenmore Avenue around 1:30 p.m., where the man barricaded himself inside a residence, police said. CTA Red Line train service was suspended between Wilson and Addison Wednesday afternoon, CTA said.
No further details about the situation have been released.
Shuttle buses were provided to connect service between Wilson and Addison, CTA said.
