The forecast for Tuesday is mostly sunny with a high in the mid 40s and a low in the high 30s, according to the National Weather Service. If history is any indicator, Tuesday's conditions should be ideal for a home-opening victory. Just take a look at the first game at Wrigley following Chicago's 2016 World Series run: The Cubs beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 following a nearly two-hour rain delay and a mercury drop into the 40s after highs in the 70s.

Even though the Cubs were off Monday, the team was expected to put first baseman Anthony Rizzo on the 10-day disabled list to rest a bad back, which tightened up late last week, according to MLB.com. The move will be retroactive to last Friday and marks the first time the All-Star has been on the DL.
