Cubs Hosting Free Youth Baseball And Softball Event

Kids of all ages are invited to Wrigley Field this weekend to hang out with Clark the Cub, play games and get free Cubs swag.

CHICAGO — A youth baseball and softball festival will be held at Gallagher Way outside Wrigley Field this Sunday. Kids are invited to run the bases and play ball with Chicago Cubs players at the event.

Children can also meet Clark the Cub and measure their arm strength with an inflatable speed pitch.

The event will be held May 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 3637 North Clark Street.

The event will also offer free Cubs face painting, free hot dogs, complimentary bat and ball sets (while supplies last!) and baseball-themed balloon art.

Hosted by Cubs Charities, the festival is "open to everyone who loves baseball and softball," organizers said.
