Charity Stocking Fest: Southport and Irving is hosting a stocking decorating party for the whole family. Gloves and mittens will also be collected for Little Fort Elementary School students. Wed. Dec. 18, 5 p.m., Southport and Irving. FREE. 
HEY, I'M A BIG FAN ReadingThink you're the ultimate fan? Stage 773 is hosting HEY, I'M A BIG FAN on Wed. The monthly event showcases original fan fiction read by some of Chicago's comedy stars. This month's show will feature readings based on Full House, Star Wars, Batman and Whedonverse. Wed., Dec. 18, 7 p.m., Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave., FREE. 

Don't Forget...A speeding camera has been installed on Irving Park Rd. near Challenger Park. So watch out, fast drivers. 

Out of the neighborhood pick: The Second City That Never Sleeps is Tuesday! This annual event is 24 hours of comedy and entertainment at Second City. The event raises money for the charity Letters To Santa. Tickets are available at the door, and there will be a slew of celebrities performing — including Jeff Tweedy, Horatio Sanz, Fred Armisen, Cecily Strong, Aidy Bryant, famous cat Lil' Bub and many, many more. Tues. to Wed. — 6 p.m. to 6 p.m. Second City Theatre, $20.
