DryHop Brewers Hosting ‘Tap Takeover’ Wednesday

The always-packed East Lake View restaurant DryHop Brewers is hosting a party of sorts Wednesday evening, inviting area brewers to show off their beers on Broadway.

Starting at 6 p.m., neighbors are invited to the hotspot at 3155 N. Broadway St. for a repeat of the Oak Park Replicale Tap Takeover. It’s an event where Illinois craft brewers must stick to a set of rules, including the use of only water, pils malt, hops, and yeast.

DryHop will have have 6 different Illinois Golden IPAs on tap:

• Begyle Brewing – Calypso’s Song, 6.4% (Calypso hops)
• DryHop Brewers – Don’t Get Captured, 6.5% (Amarillo hops)
• Flesk Brewing Co. – Green Finger, 7.2% (Nelson Sauvin hops)
• Half Acre Beer Company – Mr. Miller, 6.0% (Crystal hops)
• Haymarket Pub & Brewery – Replicale Illinois IPA, 7.0% (Saphir hops)
• Tighthead Brewing Company – Replicale 2013, 6.5% (Centennial hops)
