'Elf' Pop-Up Coming To Wrigleyville

The pop-up will feature condiment carriers filled with maple syrup, Schylling Jester Jack in the Boxes and a Santa cookie service.

CHICAGO — Fans of Buddy the Elf can indulge in a tribute to the popular movie starting this Friday in Wrigleyville. Stretch Bar & Grill will open as "Elf'd Up," a holiday pop-up bar that will feature more than 200 elves, an upside-down Christmas tree, a snow machine, "Elf"-themed cocktails and condiment carriers filled with maple syrup and candy canes.

The pop-up will be decorated with wreath chandeliers, strands of colored lights, "Elf" figurines, wall quotes and Schylling Jester Jack in the Boxes.

The bar will also offer complimentary Santa Cookie Service daily at 10 p.m., and a "Get Elf'd Up" happy hour that will benefit Compassion.

Staff — decked out in elf attire — will serve up $10 "Elf"- themed specialty cocktails daily until 10 p.m., like a blue Mr. Narwhal vodka cocktail garnished with a gumdrop tusk, "The World's Best Cup of Naughty Coffee" spiked with Jameson and maple syrup, and a stiff Miles Finch drink with rye whiskey, Campari and sweet vermouth.

Themed food will include a $14 Buddy Burger and a three-scoop sundae featuring mint chocolate chip ice cream loaded with marshmallows, sprinkles and chocolate syrup.
