Family Continues To Seek Answers In Lake View Cold Case Murder
Kevin Clewer, 31, was murdered in his home 15 years ago in Lake View. His family is not giving up on solving the case.

CHICAGO — Kevin Clewer's family members were out on Saturday handing out flyers in Lake View East, seeking any information about his murder. Clewer was found stabbed to death in his apartment in the neighborhood 15 years ago, and his family hasn't given up their hope that the case will be solved.
Clewer, 31, was murdered in his home in the 3400 block of North Elaine Place between 10 p.m., March 23, and 6 p.m. March 24, 2004, police said.
His case was featured on Crime Stoppers two years ago, but so far the Chicago Police Department only has a sketch of a person of interest, who was seen at two places in the 3300 to 3500 blocks of North Halsted right before the murder, police said.

At the time of the killing, the suspect was described as a Hispanic man, about 25 years old, standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a slim, athletic build. The suspect spoke with a European Spanish accent and may be known as Fernando, police said.
