'Fathers Helping Fathers' Addresses Sensitive Subject for Dads of Divorce and Domestic Discord
The national non-profit organization hosts 'Dad School', to provide Chicago area fathers with free legal advice, and support.

It’s not an easy subject to approach; many fathers feel that the ‘system’ is biased against them when it comes to divorce and domestic discord, especially when their children are involved.
Fathers Helping Fathers, a national non-profit organization, was formed by two Dads who went through their own journeys to ensure they had strong bonds with their children, despite the damaging effects of divorce and broken relationships.
The organization will be hosting an event called ‘Dad School’; an opportunity for help educate Chicago area fathers while providing a number of resources, including free legal advice from volunteer attorneys, and participation from organizations that help to strengthen the bond between children and non-custodial fathers, in addition to other educational opportunities.

Those opportunities will include a presentation by keynote speaker Phillip Jackson, the founder and executive director of The Black Star Project. The group promotes active and involved parents in a child’s life, and education. Other speakers will be presenting throughout the day.
“A small investment of time, whether it be a few hours or a full day at the event can have a lifetime effect on the relationship between you as a father and your child, or children” said Aaron Del Mar, co-founder of Fathers Helping Fathers. “The more we know as fathers, the better we can be for our kids.”
