Hazardous Beach Conditions Tuesday, Government Warns
Chicago's beaches are extremely dangerous Tuesday, with rip currents pulling quickly away from shore.
The National Weather Service has issued a statement regarding swimming in Lake Michigan Tuesday, saying it could be very dangerous.
The statement cites "dangerous pounding waves and life-threatening rip currents" at area beaches through Tuesday night.
Rip currents are apparently powerfully flowing away from shore.
For those of you brave enough to hit the beach during Tuesday's chilly temperatures, stay out of the water.
