Lake View Businesses Warned of Burglaries
Four Lake View and Lincoln Park businesses were burglarized, with their front door glass being smashed to gain entry.

The Chicago Police Department sent out an alert to businesses in Lake View about an offender breaking into local businesses in the 18th and 19th district.
The offender reportedly has broken into four buildings in the area, gaining entry by breaking the glass on the front door, and then removing personal property from the location.
At this point, there's no available description of the burglar(s).
Businesses are being advised to lock their doors and windows and activate any alarm and surveillance system they have. Any suspicious person(s), vehicle(s) or activities should be reported to the police immediately.
The burglaries have occurred at the following locations:
- 800 block of W. Webster Ave. (Some time between 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. on Jan. 4/Jan. 5)
- 800 block of W. Webster Ave. (Between 11:45 p.m. and 3:20 a.m. on Jan. 4.Jan. 5)
- 3000 block of N. Halsted St. (Between 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 4/Jan. 5)
- 2000 block of N. Racine St. (Around 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 5)
