CAPS Meetings
Three police beats in Lake View are meeting Wednesday evening to talk with officers about neighborhood crime and safety issues. Starting at 7 p.m., the meeting will be held at the 19th District Police Station at 850 W. Addison St. The specific beats meeting are 1923, 1925 and 1934—a large portion of East Lake View.

Irving Park Road Closure
There is a full closure of West bound Irving Park Road at Ravenswood Avenue near the Metra tracks from Tuesday to Friday. The closure is related to the Metra reconstruction project, and traffic will be diverted between starting Tuesday at 9 a.m. and ending by Friday at 6 a.m.

Wednesday is here and what better way to ring it in than with a show at local favorite, Schubas? The Tavern, 3159 N. Southport Ave., is featuring Todd Kessler and The New Folk on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 8 p.m. Tickets to get in are just $8.
