Lake View Restaurants To Compete In Chili Cook-off

CHICAGO — Chefs from around the world know that creating the perfect bowl of chili takes more than just a few peppers, some meat and a can of beans — the most masterfully-created dishes can have dozens of special ingredients. Restaurants in Lake View will be setting out to show their culinary skills with their best chili in a cook-off Saturday, Nov. 17 from 1 to 5 p.m.

Nine businesses will be competing in the 3rd Annual Jack Daniel's Chili Cook-off at Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted St.

Guests can drink Jack Daniel's samples, enter to win giveaways and vote on their favorite dish.

Tickets are $10 per person, which includes chili samples from all restaurants and fun giveaways. Event proceeds benefit the Heartland Alliance and Lakeview East Chamber.
