Lake View Small Businesses Celebrate With Holiday Extravaganza

CHICAGO, IL — The Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce has been promoting dozens of local businesses over the past few weeks leading up to Small Business Saturday Nov. 25. The neighborhood's largest 'shop local' celebration will be held the following Sat., Dec. 2; however, and will feature a special gift card that will be accepted by more than 150 businesses. Launched to promote local merchants, the card will guarantee purchasers 25 percent off at participating stores on Dec. 2 from noon to 3 p.m.

The 'Holiday Extravaganza in Lakeview East' event will also feature a Holiday Treat Stroll from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 2. Shoppers will be offered special samples of holiday treats at more than 20 businesses.

The extravaganza is also holding a movie showing at the Laugh Factory at 3175 N. Broadway. Christmas classic 'How The Grinch Stole Christmas' will begin at 2 p.m.

The Holiday Extravaganza gift card can be purchased at the Chamber office at 3138 N. Broadway or 3208 N. Sheffield, or bought online.
