Lake View Woman Charged With Sexually Assaulting Her Baby

The 30-year-old woman is accused of assaulting her 16-month-old son, authorities said.

CHICAGO — A Lake View woman is accused of sexually assaulting her 16-month-old son, police said. The 30-year-old woman has been charged with felony predatory criminal sexual assault.

Alyssa Waldon, 30, was found by a U.S. Marshal's fugitive task force at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday in the Dunning neighborhood, police said.

The baby's father said he walked into a room and saw Waldon sexually assaulting the child on Jan. 8 last year, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The boy was taken to Lurie Children's Hospital to be examined.

Waldon has been denied bail. Her next court appearance is Feb. 5.
