Laugh Factory Collecting Donations for Tornado Victims

The comedy club on Broadway is collecting donations of food, supplies and money for victims of the recent tornado that devastated parts of Central Illinois.

The Laugh Factory, a comedy club at the intersection of Broadway and Belmont, is collecting donations to send to the victims of the recent tornado that destroyed homes in Central Illinois.

Donations will be accepted throughout Wednesday. Non-perishable food items, clothing, blankets, heaters, toiletries, water, toys and other supplies are being collected. Thanksgiving meals and money are also encouraged, and there will be a Red Cross representative on hand to collect checks.

After the drive, the trucks and Chicago comedians will travel to Washington, IL to do a free performance to bring some much needed laughter to one of the hardest hit towns.

Comedians Pat Tomasulo, Sydney Adeniyi, Chris Bader, Liza Treyger, Brian Babylon and Mike Lebovitz also performed in a benefit on Monday night.
