Let’s Taco-Bout The Taco Tuesday 5K NEXT Tuesday, July 16
This family-friendly event, based on the Taco Tuesday phenomena, is taking place for the FIRST TIME EVER on the paths at Montrose Harbor.

Area residents are asked to engage in fitness while they fit-niss taco in their mouths from event partner, the Pink Taco. The Pink Taco’s motto is ‘Keep it Real, Keep it Simple’ and their race is no exception. This inaugural event will take place on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 and will begin and end at Chicago’s iconic Montrose Harbor. The Kids Dash will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the 5K starts at 6:30 p.m.
Participants are encouraged to live every day like it’s Taco Tuesday when they don their Taco Tuesday short sleeve dri-fit provided with event registration. In addition to walkers and runners, mothers with children in strollers are invited to inhale tacos and exhale negativity while they get in on the fun! Tacos will be handed out at the finish line.
“We are so excited to join forces with the Pink Taco-a staple of Chicagoland,” said Aaron Del Mar, ASE founder. “This inaugural race gives people the tacos they love without the guilt.”

Proceeds from the event will be donated to charity partner Tickled Pink, a local not-for-profit organization dedicated to prevention and early detection of breast cancer.
Awards and a customized Taco Tuesday 5K medal will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers, and the top three runners of each age group. All Kid Dashers receive a Taco Tuesday race bib, a taco finisher medal and a taco at the finish line. An awards ceremony will commence at 7:30 p.m. for the participants of the 5K.
