Low-Line Market Coming To Lake View
Dozens of farmers and vendors will be selling their products at the Southport CTA station.
CHICAGO — Local fruit, vegetables, flowers, meats and artisanal goods will be sold at the Southport CTA station this summer. Starting June 6, the Low-Line Market will be open from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays.
Hosted by the Friends of Lakeview, the market will feature eight farmers and more than a dozen vendors. The market will run until Oct. 10.
"The Low-Line is a carefully curated market with the goal of creating an experience where neighbors can meet and gather while having greater access to a collection of high-quality produce, proteins, flowers and artisanal foods from local farms and vendors," Friends of Lakeview said in a statement.
