Milt's Extra Innings Deli Opens In Lakeview

The baseball-themed kosher deli has opened near Wrigley Field.

CHICAGO, IL — The owner of Milt's Barbecue has opened a kosher deli next door in the city's Lakeview neighborhood. Milt's Extra Innings held it's ribbon cutting Jan. 22 at 3409 N. Broadway. The new deli is dedicated to offering people with intellectual and developmental disabilities meaningful employment.

The new location offers classic deli sandwiches: pastrami, corned and roast beef, tuna and roasted turkey, alongside a portabella sandwich option for vegetarians. The deli also offers a wide array of salads and soups and heartier options like spaghetti and meatloaf. Customers can also get their food to go, and those looking for catering can have food delivered to their doorsteps.

On its website, Milt's Extra Innings states that it's driven by three goals: "...fantastic food, solid service and engaging social interaction. Celebrating the history of Jews in Baseball adds to the conversation..."
