Mini Golf Sprouts in Lake View for a Good Cause (PHOTOS)
City Mini Golf is here to putt for the School Street Park, with the owner donating money for every game played.
Looking to play 18 holes in the heart of Lake View? City Mini Golf is making those dreams a reality.
Owner Eric Michaels is partnering with the School Street Park Advisory Council to bring mini golf to Lake View for a limited time. The once vacant lot at 1230 W. School St. is now filled with mini golf platforms feature loops, ramps and spirals.
A portion of the proceeds will go toward funding the park’s construction, slated to be the largest playlot in Lake View when completed.

In the meantime, Michaels is using the vacant space to put all eyes on the upcoming park while raising some money. City Mini Golf set officially opened Friday morning and plans to remain open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until June 30.
“It’s really all about bringing awareness to the park,” Michaels said. “… We’ll have a lemonade stand here and Anthony’s Italian Ice will be serving ice cream over the weekend.”

Each round costs $6 for children and $8 for adults, with a special grand opening price of $5 on Friday. For each game played $1 is donated to the park, and Michaels has plans to up that to $2 if enough people play.
