Music Box Hosts Christmas Show; Ukulele Cabaret

30th Annual Music Box Christmas Show: Don't miss this fantastic Chicago tradition, right in our own backyard — see one of your favorite Christmas movies this weekend at the Music Box Theatre, and sing along to some carols with Santa Claus himself. Tickets are available here. 

St. Lucia Festival of Lights: Come take part in this classic Swedish tradition — the St. Lucia Festival of Lights. A procession will begin at 4:45 p.m. and will be followed by a Lucia celebration at the Swedish American Museum. Fri. Dec. 13, 4:45 p.m. Swedish American Museum, 5211 N. Clark St. $1 or a can of food to donate. 

NINO and the Magical Holiday Adventure: A nationally renown Italian Circus Family are bringing their talents to Lake View. Come check out trapeze artists, Nino the clown, magic, juggling and more. Sat. Dec. 14, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Wellington Ave. United Church of Christ. $10 in advance, $12 at the door. 

First Annual Chili Cookoff: 'Tis the season...for chili. Join Burke's Patio and Tap for their first annual chili cookoff. Bring in your best chili for a chance at the grand prize — $100 cash! There will also be drink specials. Sun. Dec. 15, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Burke's Patio and Tap, 2913 N. Lincoln Ave. FREE. 

Chicago Ukulele Cabaret: The Chicago Ukulele Cabaret is hosting their annual holiday ukulele open-mic show this weekend. The title of the evening is "How the Uke Stole Christmas (and Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, etc.)". If you're interested in performing, prepare up to 3 holiday songs.  Sat.
