Music Box Theatre Celebrates 30 Years: The Music Box Theatre is celebrating 30 years from Nov. 22 until Dec. 5. The Southport theater is dedicating the final two weeks of the Fall 2013 calendar to replicating the kind of movies the theater showed when it first began — each day will be a different double-feature, and the two movies will have a unifying theme. SAIC Student Art Sales: The School of the Art Institute of Chicago is hosting their annual Holiday Art Sale this Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Students will sell their original paintings, sculptures, photography, prints, jewelry, fashion and more. Sat. Nov. 23, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. SAIC Ballroom (112 S. Michigan Ave.) Free admission.
Hanukkah Art Workshop: The Paintbrush is hosting a Hanukkah Art Workshop on Saturday from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. The event is open to all ages, and is $25 per child (with parent/caregiver). Registration is required. Sat. Nov. 23, 1-2:30 p.m. The Paintbrush (2856 N. Halsted), $25 registration.
Bacon, Sports and Beer Celebration: The Bacon, Sports and Beer Celebration is happening this weekend to celebrate three of Chicago's favorite things. A ticket to this event will get you unlimited tastings of bacon creations, 32 samples of beers and access to plenty of games. Tickets are $59 and are available here. Sat. Nov. 23, 1 p.m. The Great Hall at Union Station (500 W. Jackson St.). $59 general admission tickets, $200 VIP tickets.
