New Target Store Headed to Lake View This Summer
The new location on Ashland Avenue is scheduled to open in July and will be customized for the neighborhood's residents.

CHICAGO, IL — The Lake View neighborhood will be getting a new flexible-format Target store along North Ashland Avenue, the big box store chain annonced recently.
Shooting for completion in October, the new 31,000-square-foot store at 3300 N. Ashland Ave. is part of Target's push to build smaller locations around the Chicago area designed to cater the needs of customers in their home neighborhoods. The Lake View location wil be the chain's eighth of its kind in the Chicago area.
Target's flexible format locations are customized for customers in urban communities, densely populated surburbs and communities near college campuses. The Lake View store will feature home decor aimed at residents living in condos and apartments and will include order pickups and a CVS Pharmacy.

Other locations soon to open in the Chicago area include: Skokie, Oak Park and Rogers Park, which are all scheduled to open in October or some time this fall.
