CHICAGO — The Emmy-winning local restaurant review series "Check, Please!" will begin its 18th season this week with eateries in Lincoln Square, Lake View and Chinatown. Alpana Singh, a local restaurateur and master sommelier, will be returning to host the WTTW show, which premieres on Friday, Oct. 26 at 8 p.m.

The season will kick off with three Chicagoans – science teacher Michael Bruesch, jewelry designer Don Strzepek, and executive assistant Rebecca Flores – who will compare notes on their experiences at Dos Ricco’s in Lincoln Square, Tied House in Lakeview and Go 4 Food in Chinatown.

Dos Ricco's, at 4064 N Lincoln Ave., is a popular Mexican eatery that's known for its friendly service, relaxed neighborhood vibe and flavorful dishes.
