Obama-Recommended Restaurant Opening in Lake View
Zia's Lago Vista, the second location of Italian restaurant Zia's Trattoria, is opening on Ashland Ave. on Thurs.
A Barack Obama-approved restaurant is opening a Lake View location.
Zia's Lago Vista will open Thurs. at 3819 N. Ashland Ave., according to an article of DNA Info. The restaurant, which is the second location of Zia's Trattoria (a popular Edison Park restaurant) has been in the works since last year. The Edison Park location was once favorably reviewed by then-Senator Obama on "Check, Please!"
"I thought this place was outstanding," Then-Senator Obama said on "Check, Please!". "The bottom line was the food was terrific. I would actually drive back from Hyde Park to have a meal."
The Lake View location's menu will be the same as Trattoria and will be focused on wine. Lago Vista will also offer an outdoor seating area.
