Ohio Real Estate Group Buys Shopping Center Anchored by Mariano’s
Deal for Broadway property exceeds $80 million, Crain's reports.
CHICAGO, IL - DDR, an Ohio-based real estate investment trust, paid more than $80 million to buy the nearly completed shopping center at 3030 N. Broadway in Lake View, Crain’s Chicago reported this week.
The 131,618-square-foot property is nearly complete with retail development set to open soon. Anchored by Mariano’s, the center will include an XSport Fitness, Starbucks and PNC Bank.
Some stores are expected to open as early as August, marking the first activity at the site that’s been vacant since a Dominick’s burned down there 11 years ago.

The property was sold by a development team of Barrett & Porto Real Estate, Skokie-based Taxman and Newport Capital Partners, of Chicago.
