Police Warn Of Burglaries In Lake View
Burglars are targeting homes on Cornelia, Kenmore and Lakewood, police said in a community alert.

CHICAGO — Burglars have been breaking into homes in the city's Lake View neighborhood over the past few weeks, police said in a community alert Monday. The offenders are either getting inside the homes through unlocked doors, or by forcing open a window or door, police said.
Once inside, the burglars are stealing items from the homes, according to the alert.

- in the 900 block of West Cornelia between Nov. 28 and Dec. 2;
- in the 3200 block of North Kenmore between Dec. 1 and Dec. 2;
- in the 800 block of West Cornelia on Dec. 6 from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.;
- in the 900 block of West Cornelia on Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.;
- in the 3400 block of North Lakewood on Dec. 11 from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.;
- in the 3300 block of North Kenmore between Dec. 15 and Dec. 16.
