Police Warn Of North Side Carjackings
Carjackers stole vehicles in Lincoln Square, North Center and Lake View, police said.

CHICAGO — A group of carjackers has been stealing vehicles over the past 10 days on the city's North Side, police said in a community alert Wednesday. In each theft, the offenders targeted a victim who was either alone in their car or alone on the street, police warned in the alert.
In each incident, carjackers pulled out at least one handgun and threatened the victim, before stealing their vehicle, police said.
Police said the carjackings occurred in the following locations:

• 1400 block of West Sunnyside on Oct. 1 at around 10:30 p.m.
• 2900 block of North Paulina on Oct. 3 at around 9:45 p.m.
• 3600 block of North Greenview on Oct. 3 at around 10 p.m.
• 2300 block of West Waveland on Oct. 3 at around 11:45 p.m.
• 4200 block of North Hazel on Oct. 8 at around 3 p.m.
• 2400 block of West Leland on Oct. 9 at around 9:15 p.m.
