@properties Expanding Again: Announces New Lakeview/North Center
Chicago's #1 real estate firm eyes growth and looks to build on leading market share
@properties, the largest residential brokerage firm in the Chicago metro area, announced that it will open a new office on the border of Lakeview and North Center. According to @properties co-founders and co-CEOs Thad Wong and Mike Golden, the new location is part of a larger expansion initiative that also includes soon-to-be-announced technology rollouts, key personnel moves, and additional office openings.
Located at 4100 N. Lincoln Ave., in a high-visibility site on the northwest corner of Lincoln and Belle Plaine, the 4,000-square-foot office will accommodate 45 desks as well as conference and lounge areas. The office build-out will be completed by fall 2020.
With a new office, @properties looks to establish a stronger foothold in two neighborhoods where it already holds the #1 market share. According to data from BrokerMetrics LLC, the firm is the sales leader in Lakeview with market share of 23.5% over the last 12 months. In North Center, @properties holds the #1 spot with 26.6% market share for the same time period.

“Heading into 2020, we were in a very strong position, and when COVID-19 hit we made the commitment to stay the course with our expansion, technology, marketing, and training and coaching initiatives. We are already seeing the benefits of this decision. Additional storefront presence in one of Chicago’s most active submarkets will benefit our agents and clients as the market recovers and moves beyond this current challenge,” said Golden.
Established in 2000, @properties has nearly 3,000 licensed REALTORS® in 35 offices throughout Chicagoland, surrounding suburbs, Southwest Michigan, Northwest Indiana, and Southeast Wisconsin. In 2009, in the midst of the Great Recession, the firm began an aggressive expansion that eventually saw it capture the #1 market share in Chicago and Illinois.

“While almost every brokerage firm was downsizing during the last downturn, we made a commitment to grow. It was a complete game changer for @properties because it attracted more agents and clients and ultimately put us in the best position once the market rebounded. Our strategy is similar today,” said Wong.
The new Lakeview/North Center office will be managed by vice president of brokerage services and designated managing broker Amy Harris, who was been with @properties for over 17 years.
