Robbery Victim Uses Phone Tracking App To Find Thieves
A man's iPhone was stolen at gunpoint in Lake View. The victim then used "Find My iPhone" to lead police to the robbers.

CHICAGO — Two offenders face robbery charges after a Lake View man used a phone tracking app to lead police to their location. The victim was robbed at gunpoint Monday around 12:45 a.m. on Brompton Avenue, police said.
The man then used his roommate's "Find My iPhone" app to locate the offenders, and directed police to the Wilson Red Line Station, where the arrests were made.
A 17-year-old was charged with felony armed robbery. Charges for the second offender, whose age was not released, are pending, police said.
